Good evening all! I will be offering this sweet little antique inspired doll ornament on Ebay this evening. I have been making these little ornaments for customers and thought I would offer one one ebay. It has been awhile since I have listed anything on ebay! Stop over for a visit...I think she likes company.
Have a lovely evening!
This is little Clea. She is one of two doll's I am working on for a lovely lady as a gift to her daughter Clea. Pam has requested two dolls in the image of her Daughter. One the younger version of the other. This is the younger Clea. I am in love with this little doll! She was an absolute joy to create and I will miss her terribly, but she will have a lovely home. I will post more pics when she is fully dressed.
Have a wonderful day!!
Good day all! Just finished decorating for Christmas. I don't know why but I am really in the Christmas spirit this year. This is Geonova and she is 10 1/2 inches tall. She was inspired by Izannah Walker dolls, I just love her work! Anyway she has found a wonderful home with Debbie from NY, thank you Debbie. She happily sitting on her antique four poster bed.
I hope you all are enjoying the holiday season so far!
Have a lovely day,
Good cold morning all! Fall is in the air and I have been sneeking a bit of creating in. A couple special orders to finish up then on to the next project. This is my favorite time of the year.
This is Harper. Harper is 18 inches tall, not my usual tiny little girl. She is an Izannah Walker inspired little darling. She is a thoughtful girl, so much on her mind! Maybe she will be a writer like her namesake Harper Lee, who wrote my favorite book/movie "To Kill A Mockingbird". I just love her to bits!
Well need to get busy so I can fit some creating in today after I make some sourdough bread!
Have a lovely day all!!
Good day all! I really think spring is just around the corner here in upstate New York and I can't wait! I am offering the sweetest little fraktur bird stitchery. The colors are more muted in person. We have such bright sunshine here today that the camera is in shock!LOL
This sampler is mounted in a 8 x 10 wood picture frame that I have aged and painted flat black. It is also matted, which I have also aged with globs, drops and stains to give a lovely vintage look. The sampler measures 5 x 7 and I have stitched this on 30 count Belfast linen in brick red, dark mustard, dark colonial blue and moss green, which has also been aged. It is not covered with glass.
I have added brown paper to the back of the frame as well as a sawtooth hanger so it is ready to hang for you to enjoy. Thank you Beth for the lovely cross stitch chart!! You can find more of her charts at Heartstringssamplery by Beth Twist.
I have been working on little Faith off and on for the last several weeks. I finally have her ready for adoption. Faith is a sweet little baby doll measuring only 11 inches tall! Faith is a cloth and clay little girl and is weighted and jointed so she sits nicely. She has been aged and crackled so she looks like she has been packed away in an attic trunk just waiting for someone to find her and love her again. Her dress and bloomers are created from reproduction civil war prints in taupe, black and tan. I have created her little false hem in a coordinating dot print in cream and taupe. I have painted her with quality artist's acrylics and sealed her with a true matte finish.
I have also painted little socks with pink bows on her feet and also made little booties in case her feet get cold!
You can find Little Faith on the TDIPT's website for sale this evening at 9:00pm. You can get there by clicking the link on the upper right of this page.
Good evening everyone! I hope you are all warm and toasty tonight. I am so thrilled to be asked to have some of my dolls and stitcheries shown in a professional art gallery in Illinois! I am just so excited!! I have a few more special orders to finish up and then I will be busy creating for this event.
I need to have my girls and stitcheries to the gallery no later than May 25th. The showing is June 1st. I will certainly post pics as I finish each one.
My goodness, where has the time gone! Valentine's Day is just a month away and I just had to create this special little girl. She measures just 6 inches tall from the top of her head to the bottom of her little dangle bead. I have painted two tiny hearts and some sweet swirls onto her bodice. I have also added some bits of vintage trims and lace along with vintage glass beads, after all a girl has to have her jewels! She also comes with her little painted black metal stand so she can stay on display all year long.
You can find her on the TDIPT's site this evening at 9:00. You can get there by clicking the link at the top right of this page. Stop by and be sure to check out all the new listings by the great artist's featured there.
Thanks for stopping by...My name is Kimberly and I am an artist specializing in reproduction stitcheries, pen and ink drawings and dollmaking.
I absolutely love dolls by Izannah Walker and Queen Anne dolls. I tend to blend the two styles when creating my little girls.
